People coming to counseling usually want to resolve an internal personal problem, a problematic life situation, or a relationship conflict. Generally, people want to alleviate suffering and stress. Sometimes, they may want to learn ways to improve life and make it the best it can be.
People can learn more about how they make decisions, how they got involved in difficulties and the reasons why they make certain choices. Often people's actions are a result of their thoughts and beliefs which can be connected to the patterns of the past and not related to current life.
Exploring our history, and our life experiences and looking within offers explanations for the choices we make. It allows us to be more present, in touch with our own needs, and our true goals for happiness. Solving a problem in this way is a journey of love because we learn more about who we are and how to change for the better.
In individual counseling, you can learn to feel safe within yourself, trust in your decisions, and increase your success in relieving suffering and experiencing joy.
My work is very gentle, supportive, and caring. Quite often, clients will have a sense of relaxation and say that they feel lighter after a session. Some clients have called several days later and reported their problems were resolved.
